Purpose, vision and values

Having a clear purpose and vision and a strong and meaningful set of values are essential to enable our colleagues to understand what we are striving to achieve for our patients and local communities, and the principles, ethics and behaviours we expect of them whilst working in our services.

The Trust’s current purpose, vision and values were originally developed in 2014 so it was only right that we reviewed and refreshed them. Draft versions were developed and over the last few months, thousands of our colleagues have taken the opportunity to feedback on them.

Our final purpose, vision and values were given final sign off by the Trust Board and are as follows:Our purpose, vision and values
