Integrated Children's Nursing and Therapy team

The Integrated Children’s Nursing and Therapy Team works to provide a service for children who have physical difficulties, communication difficulties, and nursing needs.

The Children’s Physiotherapists in our team provide support for children and young people who have a condition that affects movement, posture or physical development.

Occupational therapists in our team support children and young people to participate as fully as possible in the activities of everyday life (occupations), to become as functionally independent as possible, and to interact with their environment so they can play and learn.

The Children’s Speech and Language Therapy service provides specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of communication difficulties for children and young people aged 0 to 16 years old.

The Childrens' Hearing Service hold clinics in a variety of locations to provide a community based, family orientated service for children from as young as 8 months until they complete full time education.

The team of experienced children's nurses offer community visits, support and education for children and young people with medical needs.  

To Access any of our services, children/young people must be 0-18 years old and registered with a GP within the catchement area of Lancaster, Morcambe or Carnforth. Referrals to any of the ICNT services will be accepted from health, education or social care professionals. For service specific guidence please refer to the appropriate tab.
