Cherish Otoo wins two prestigious national student awards

Cherish Otoo, who qualified as a nurse at the Trust in February 2022 and is based at the RLI, has been awarded two national awards at this year’s Nursing Times Student Awards. Cherish won the ‘Most Inspirational Nurse’ and the ‘Mary Seacole Award’ for her outstanding contributions to diversity and inclusion.

Update on our UHMBT improvement work

Our UHMBT Improvement Plan continues to take shape and many of our improvements are now up and running. Delivery of the Improvement Plan will enable us to be assured we are delivering quality, safety and sustainability of care to our patients, supporting the wellbeing of colleagues, putting our finances on a sound footing and meeting regulatory requirements.
