This week’s edition includes lots of news and updates from across the Trust.   

Virtual wards  

A new service to monitor COVID-19 positive patients and relieve pressures in our acute settings, including, EDs and AMUs, has been introduced at UHMBT. As well as relieving some pressures, it will also enable patients to go safely home earlier. 

Extended until Monday 28 February - £180 (gross) incentive bonus

In response to the current service demands the Trust is experiencing, UHMBT has agreed to extend the Bonus Incentive for Agenda for Change staff within critical front-line roles, up until Monday 28 February 2022.

Leanne Cooper to cover as interim Acting Chief Operating Officer 

Following the announcement of Kate Maynard retiring as UHMBT Chief Operating Officer in March 2022, Leanne Cooper will temporarily cover this role as Acting Chief Operating Officer from 1 March 2022. Leanne will be in post for three to six months whilst the permanent recruitment process for the role takes place.
