Celebrating 30 years of WGH
Westmorland General Hospital opened its doors to patients in 1991 with many staff transferring over from the old Westmorland County and Kendal Green hospitals and Meathop Hospital near Grange-Over-Sands.

This new awards scheme is intended to encourage, celebrate and help spread quality/patient safety improvement across the trust and to recognise those individuals who have gone ‘above and beyond’ in providing safe and compassionate care for our patients.
