Week 3 of The Big 5 - It's ok not to be ok

This week’s focus of our Big 5 campaign is ‘It’s ok not to be ok’. We have all heard this saying or something similar, however, we know that there is still a large number of people - both working within our Trust and living in local communities - who struggle with various mental health and wellbeing issues and feel that they are suffering alone.  

Alison is named Queen's Nurse for highest standards of care​

Alison Nicholson, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the Trust, was awarded the prestigious title of Queen’s Nurse (QN) last week from the Queen’s Nursing Institute for her innovative work with the Bay Health and Care Partners Kendal Integrated Care Community (ICC) and the Trust’s Frailty team. ​

Song written in memory of colleagues who have died of COVID-19​

 A song has been written by a Resuscitation Practice Educator at the Trust in tribute to NHS colleagues who have lost their lives as a result of COVID-19. ‘My Heart is Blue’, a deeply moving ballad about the stark reality of the virus, has been created by David Webster who works across all of the Trust’s sites. ​
