Annual Report Front Page Graphic.pngThe Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM) of University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT) will be held online via Microsoft ‘Teams’ at 10am on Tuesday 16 November and all are welcome to attend.

Highlights, achievements and challenges from the past year will be presented and plans for the year ahead will be outlined.

The AMM will provide an opportunity for Trust Members and everyone with an interest in the provision of local healthcare services to find out more about the work of the Trust.

There will also be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions which will be answered during the Q&A section of the meeting. Anyone wishing to ask questions can do so by contacting the Office of the Company Secretary via the email address provided at the end of this story.

The Trust will try to answer as many questions as possible during the meeting, however, if it isn’t possible to answer all of the questions in the time allotted, a response will be provided within the minutes of the meeting.

The meeting will include a video exploring the Trust’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, presentations on the Annual Report, the Trust’s Annual Accounts, the external auditor’s report and the work of the Council of Governors.

Aaron Cummins CEO UHMBT 2021.pngAaron Cummins, Chief Executive of UHMBT, said: “Everyone is extremely welcome to participate and there will be an opportunity to ask questions of our Board during the meeting.

“We want to continue to keep everyone safe from COVID-19 this year so, as we did in 2020, we will be holding our Annual Members’ Meeting via Microsoft ‘Teams’.

“We would like to recognise the excellent work that our colleagues and partners have done to keep everyone in our communities safe and well. We wish to thank them for their dedication, care, compassion, ingenuity and downright hard work.”

Professor Mike Thomas, Chair of UHMBT, said: “As we look to the future, we can do so with a sense of pride in how we have supported the population of Morecambe Bay during the pandemic and prepared for the future.

“We welcome any feedback and questions from the public, our staff, Trust Members, partner organisations and everyone with an interest in healthcare at the Annual Members Meeting.”
