The family-run business has since donated soaps to the staff at Mull and Iona Community Hospital and 1,000 soaps to the local community on the Scottish island.

Lynda said: “I wanted our team to have something special to pamper themselves with after their shift, which is why I approached Isle of Mull Soap Co. and they were only too happy to help. We can’t thank them enough for this kind donation.”

Sophie Cattanach, Owner of Isle of Mull Soap Co., said: “We felt honoured to be able to help the nurses in a tiny way. This was the first donation we made to the NHS. We've since donated soaps to the staff at our local hospital and to the island community. We couldn’t be prouder to be able to help our NHS in some way at such a difficult time.”

Isle of Mull Soap Co. is based in Tobermory and offers handmade soaps, hand and body, creams, bath salts, candles, lip balms and incense. Soaps are palm oil-free and made from olive oil, coconut oil, shea and cocoa butter. They are scented with quality essential oils, fragrances and botanicals from around the world. The company offers two scent-free soaps.

Sue Smith, OBE, Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Chief Nurse, UHMBT, said: “It is really touching to see companies like Isle of Mull Soap Co. making donations to our teams who are working so hard – a very big thank you from us all.”
