A new video has been created which shows how to reach the Endoscopy department at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
Feedback from a recent Autism and Learning Disability listening event highlighted that some patients and their families not only find it difficult to locate certain departments in the hospital, but can feel so worried about what their visit will be like, who they’ll meet and how to get there, that they cancel their appointment.
It’s hoped that way-finding videos will help patients to feel more at ease about coming into hospital, and take some of the worry out of not knowing what to expect.
