Do you know someone who is a retired nurse, therapist or support worker or a social care worker who has either clinical or care experience, who could help our Hospital Home Care Service?

We currently have opportunities for regular shifts between the hours of 8am and 9pm in the Hospital Home Care service over 7 days a week, across South Lakes and Cumbria.

Experience of caring for others (professionally or personally), to work in the community is essential as you will be visiting service users at their homes on your own so you will need to hold a full UK driving licence.

This will include delivering personal care, moving and handling skills and supporting all activities of daily living that the service user needs assistance with which includes getting in and out of bed, getting washed and dressed, making drinks and so forth.

Staff will need Basic Life Support Skills, Knowledge of the Deteriorating Patient, Safeguarding, Moving and Handling training, and documentation requirements. Training will be provided in advance of shift allocation and this is not a complete list.

Caring for those service users in their own home also requires excellent communication skills, compassion and kindness.
