Everyone is welcome to attend, and the event will include a ‘marketplace’ with stalls run by hospital teams and local third sector organisations offering information and advice to the public.

All will have the opportunity to hear about the Trust’s progress and achievements over the past year. There will also be opportunities to ask questions of the Chief Executive, Aaron Cummins, Trust Chair, Professor Mike Thomas, and Lead Governor, Suzie Hayman. Please see the email address below to submit questions in advance of the event.

Managers from the Trust will endeavour to answer as many questions as possible during the meeting. However, if this isn’t possible, the Trust will provide a response following the meeting. There will be presentations on the Annual Report, the Trust’s Annual Accounts, the external auditor’s report and the work of UHMBT’s Council of Governors.

Aaron said: “Our annual meeting is a fantastic opportunity for the public to come along and hear about how their local health services are performing – and to hear directly from our teams in our Marketplace. We want to hear people’s views and suggestions, so I hope lots of people will come along to the meeting.”

Matron Sally Young with volunteer and governor Jim Wood at last years AMM.jpgMike said: “I look forward to answering any questions from local people and organisations in the AMM and am keen to receive any feedback and suggestions regarding our Trust’s services.”

The Marketplace will have stalls hosted by the UHMBT Council of Governors, Maternity Services, Macmillian, I3 Team, Stroke Team, Adult Speech and Language Therapy, Apprenticeships, Careers, Allied Health Professionals, Patient Experience Team, Communications Team, Governance Team, New Hospitals Programme, Patient Relations Team and the Improvement and Redesign Team.

There will also be stalls hosted by the UHMBT BAME Network, Chaplaincy and Bay Health Festivals, Freedom to Speak Up, Bay Hospitals Charity, Fundamentals of Care/Quality Assurance Team, Estates and Facilities, Vision Support Barrow and District, Healthwatch Westmorland and Furness, EnCircle (membership database provider), University of Cumbria and Active Lancashire.
